#MeToo, I See Why They Call You A Moment

#MeToo.

I see why they called you “a moment.”

They want you over before you start.

Some of us exposed our internal bleeding, some of us were still silenced, and some of us could not speak because we did not survive.

2020 says to all of us:

You’re Nothing to Me.

2020 says Harvey Weinstein gets a hospital bed and children in detention camps die, and youth and elders with drug convictions suffocate behind bars, denied soap, water, distance.

2020 protects the privileged, leaves the oppressed unmasked.

2020 says accused sexual assaulters are your choice for President

I say to 2020:

Whatever breath I have left

is for those Who Mean Nothing to You.
